The Shimano Nexus CJ-8S40 Cassette Joint Outer Casing Holder helps to secure the shift cable in the cassette joint for a Shimano internally geared hub. The shift cable housing will fit snuggly inside of this outer casing holder to prevent noise and to prevent the cable from falling out of the cassette joint. In addition, there is a rubber boot that will help prevent road debris and grime from getting on the shifter cable.
